As I indicated in a different post, I’ve set 23 goals for myself this year. One of the goals is–you guessed it–to create a list of 20 books I plan to read this year. And then actually read them. I’ve not been reading as much as I’d like, so this year I plan on course-correcting. To that end, here is a list of the 20 books I have chosen (in no particular order):
- Your Self-Discovery Journal: A Guided Journey to Identify and Actualize Your Passions, Purpose, and Whole Self by Sara Katherine
- I Am Not an Erosion: Poems Against Decay by Shilo Niziolek
- The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
- The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times by Jane Goodall
- The Rosetti Letter by Christi Phillips
- The Nazis Knew My Name by Magda Hellinger, Maya Lee and David Brewster
- These Ghosts are Family by Maisy Card
- The World’s Religions by Huston Smith
- Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah
- Tender Is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald
- Sweet Tea and Jesus Shoes by Deborah Smith, Donna Ball, Sandra Chastain, Debra Dixon, Virginia Ellis and Nancy Knight
- Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come: One Introvert’s Year of Saying Yes by Jessica Pan
- The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
- Spare by Prince Harry
- The Science of Sherlock Holmes: From Baskerville Hall to the Valley of Fear, the Real Forensics Behind the Great Detective’s Greatest Cases by E.J. Wagner
- The Complete Fairy Tales by Oscar Wilde
- Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
- Fairy Tale by Stephen King
- Not So Funny When It Happened: The Best of Travel Humor and Misadventure edited by Tim Cahill
- The Indifferent Stars Above: The Harrowing Saga of a Donner Party Bride by Daniel James Brown
**I have not included the cozy mysteries, etc. that I plan on reading…nor any of the books I’ll be re-reading (like Outlander), either.
